First Time for Everything!

Okay, here is my first ever "blog"! Apparently this is the thing to do. I look at this much like a diary. A place to jot down random thoughts, issues or happenings. I became interested in blogging through the Nest. After reading the blogs of so many other people, I thought, "Hey, I can do this too!" I'm not sure how creative I will be or how often I will post, but I look at this initial blog as a chance to document my new married life.
So let's begin! M and I got married on November 24, 2007, the weekend right after Thanksgiving. I thought it would be a great weekend to have a wedding since family and friends would have an extra long weekend and really.....what do you do the weekend of Thanksgiving but shop, eat alot, drink some beers and watch lot's of football....why not have a wedding celebration! It turns out that we had 275 guests at our wedding that were thinking the same thing! We had a crisp, clean New England day, averaging about 40 degrees. Our priest was great! Very witty and full of fun marriage jokes and he knew the right moments to be serious as well. The reception was the best part. We had a 10 piece band that played the whole night through and food that lasted all night. If I could do it all over again I would, just to get in more dancing and to have a taste of my dessert bar. Which I failed to mention previously.....I did not get to taste any of my desserts!!! Which was a real bummer, because everything looked so damn good! I have inserted pictures so that everyone can sense my pain! These pictures are going to be the only memories I will have of my desserts! I have a serious downfall for sweets, especially chocolate! I can't control myself sometimes!

We took a mini honeymoon to Busch Gardens, Tampa FL. That was a much needed getaway! We had a great time in FL and are looking forward to our real honeymoon to Alaska in June. We are spending 3 nights on land in Alaska (Anchorage and Talkeetna) and then a 7 night cruise to eventually end up in Vancouver, CN. I hope to have lots of great pictures once we return.

Well I guess this is a start!
